Thinking it was a gas/air mixture issue I tried swapping coils, spark plugs, cleaning gas tank, and cleaning the throttle body. It helped, but did not resolve the issue. Jun 30, 2020 · First time the fix, per GM TSB, was to add a portion of wiring harness. That fix only lasted about a month. Next time, the dealer replaced the shifter assembly. So far so good. The work around is pretty simple. Put it in park and a quick flick of the shifter button will clear the message. Annoying but not a big deal.
