I have a 1999 Monte Carlo Z34 with the 3800 Series 2 with 85k on it. Over the past 3k miles it has lost about 1 gallon of coolant, no leaks on the driveway at all so im sure I need to change the UIM. I am also going to pull the LIM and replcae the gaskets with the new GM aluminum ones...i figure why not.

Do you have the EGR on the car still? If yes, unbolt the tube from the EGR to LIM and look at each end holding it up to light. Move the holding piece around a bit. These thin tubes like to crack. A bad TB gasket seal will also cause the code. A poor electrical connection can cause this (check battery connections for any signs of corrosion)
