Difference between glock 30 and 30s.

The slightly wider grip of my G30s fits my (averagesize) hand better than my G26 does. The 26 can be fired at a faster rate than the 30s due to lower recoil, but I carry the 30s more often. The three main factors that have me considering another 26 are lower recoil, cheaper ammo and availability of factory glock threaded barrels rather than aftermarket only for the 30S. The thing that keeps me coming back to the 30S is that I feel more secure with 10 rounds of .45 ACP than 11 rounds of 9mm.

I have been looking to add a Glock 45 to my stable of Glocks. I am having a very hard time deciding between the 30 and the 30S. I know the 30 is a sweet shooter in a small package, but it is fairly hefty. All that heft does absorb recoil though. The 30s is thinner in the slide and obviously a lighter gun. The penalty there is more recoil.
