From what I read, the Wolf is the entry level CVA inline, and the Optima is the mid level rifle. The Wolf has a slightly shorter barrel and is a little lighter. Accura PR-- NONE are prepped, have only seen a few. 4. Accura v2 LONG RANGE-- about half and half as verified by CVA- Ive seen several in store (Scheels) that were tapped and heard that many ARE NOT.To me the difference in barrel length is a non-issue. For a few years, and many deers, i have been carrying a 23" barrel. It works good. However, in my opinion, the opening/closing latch on the Optima V2 is a way more better than the latch on the Wolf. My choice would be the Optima V2, because of the latch mechanism.

Although when I talked to a CVA Technician about my Optima he stated it had a Bergara barrel. Also my rifle has a fantastic trigger.
