Ithaca M37 Barrel lug removal. I have a 1960 Ithaca M 37 that I purchased an 8 round magazine tube for. I'm having a heck of a time trying to figure out how to remove that lug from the barrel to move it forward on the barrel. At first I thought it was silver soldered, torch heat didn't work.

As an FYI to anyone else, Ithaca offers a service for the pre-1963 Model 37s where they machine the receiver to accept current production M37 barrels which, by the way, are interchangeable without fitting. The receiver is also polished and reblued. Cost for the whole thing, including the new barrel itself, is $750.00.
