Glad it's working out for you, but the sfar concept is redundant I feel. Doesn't save weight nor lop/oal. If sfar was an in between the 15 and 10 as far as cartridge length/mag size goes, then yes it would be a good concept (I feel that way anyway). Mag design for coal of 2.400"-2.600" other than using ar10 type 2.800" or m118 mags.

I believe the SFAR's come with AGB so gas shouldn't be a problem. 16” midlength .308s tend to be over gassed. I’d say skip this option. Ideally, you’d get the 20” rifle and cut down to 16” so as to have a rifle length gas systems more compatible with suppressor use. You could also stay w a 20” bbl and run a 6” can.

The SFAR will likely take a little modification. Mainly a different handguard to fit a rifle speed gas system. I can’t speak for the victor but Springfield guns are usually adequate. The Sabre seems to be pretty decent bang for your buck, but definitely give it a once over and test it first before you drop too much time into it.

The muzzle stops and starts quickly and breaking the trigger on target then getting back on target is no real challenge, especially considering the chambering. Price difference alone you can rebarrel it and add a Superlative AGB for what a 716 costs. The Ruger already has an AGB do that makes it suppressor friendly out of the gate.
