I'll wait for a patch, playing a new character in act 1 to pass the time. You might be fine. It really seems random. I've seen people with excellent rigs be unable to play act 3 and people with mid range rigs have no issues. I'd say maybe carry on until you get any issues, then decide if you want take a break or not.

I believe that this happens frequently. Definitely double check if those mod makers are doing updates! I had this issue before patch 4 and it was a dice set. Remove/uninstall all your dice sets (that give you new skins like the galaxy one) then reload your mods, save them and try again. Hopefully it helps.
