This does rely on hitting with 2cd attacks to get the status effects off, so upping the accuracy of them helps a lot. Snagging strike is one possibility for the level 1 feat/opening attack in the attack routine, as it gives an effective +2 to further attacks if it lands, and an agile weapon is lower damage but gives further boosts to the attacks.
