I have a question about the keyless access functionality on my 16 Outback...the door automatically unlocks when grabbing the handle, which is a nice feature, but as I read it in the manual, the doors should automatically lock when walking away (outside the antenna range).

I tried this once on my 2014 Crosstrek. Do not recommend. I live in Michigan and it was the dead of winter. Started the car and then locked it with the manual lock. Walked away. Came back about ten minutes later and the fob would not unlock the door, and the manual key would not either. I assume the manual key is somehow electronic as well.
