I like them to be able to operate on any battlefield and the Sturgian Druzhinnik Champion is that unit. It's got better armour than the Bannerknight and better weapons than the Cataphract (counched lances are the best lances). What makes the Druzhinnik stand out though is that they are the best elite unit in sieges after the Fian Champion.

The initial brackets also compete for best shield infantry, 2-handed infantry, and spear infantry.
