For official, the Devs usually announce if it’s a wipe or not. Can’t see any evidence. Typically if it’s a huge overhaul it’s wiped, or if there’s a technical issue that requires them to wipe. If it’s just minor changes they leave it. Doubt we will see a wipe, the last patch bought an unintended wipe and 1.20 had the intended wipe.

Community servers wipe more often, the community server I played on updated everyone through discord. Wipes are pretty much up to the the individual server owners. Best thing is to find out if they have a website/discord somewhere. On community it is up to the server owner. On official they wipe every now and then with the updates. These major changes sadly have to go hand in hand with persistence wipe on all Livonia servers once update 1.19 hits Stable. We don’t want your base suddenly flying above a new quarry due to the changes on the map. Character wipe doesn’t seem to be necessary right now, but we will keep you posted.

What times do the dayz official servers reset? Not wipe but just standard reset. I am not on long enough to see when they reset and i am unable to find reset times that apply to official and not community online. Im on playstation currently if that makes a difference. When you guys refer to a “wipe” is that when the server shuts down and gives you about a 45 min warning? That’s what happened to me today. I finally found some of the best guns I’ve had on an official server and grabbed everything I wanted before the server reset.
Wipe is wipe, no preserving xml has nothing to do with storage. Unless your talking about bases made with dayz editor, or any other xml edits yea you can back those up. always keep backups if you a server owner, multiples.
