It’s All in the Details. Micro 9 is a single-action semi-auto, which fires from a locked breech, and is safe to carry cocked and locked. That is with the chamber loaded, hammer cocked, and manual thumb safety applied. It uses a single stack magazine, and the Micro 9 has a capacity of 6 + 1 while the Rapide has a 7 +1 capacity.
Also needs an extremely careful cleaning. Firing pin is trivial to remove. Remove slide, the firing plate slides out, and the firing pin/spring drop right out. Clean the pin, spring, and firing pin hole. The stock mainspring is pretty stiff, so light strikes are almost impossible. Unless the pin is sticky due to lube/grease. If you wiggle the barrel kinda push it in and out while lining the slide up and push the slide stop pin out. It may take a bit of fanangaling but it will come apart. The guide rod won’t make contact with the slide stop pin. So it’s a matter of lining the slide up in the sweet spot to push the stop pin out.
Kimber Micro 9: it is small. it requires a firm grip. for me, my off hand thumb woulld ride up on to the slide which slowed the recoil sequence and caused FTF and FTE issues... it has to be broken in and fired wet, ie., a little oil on the slide grooves. the extractor has to be kept clean.Field stripping and cleaning my Kimber Ultra Covert 2 1911, feel free to comment and subscribe!

I had my Micro 9 CTLG out 3-4 times, it has about 300-400 rounds through it now and so far it has run flawlessly.
