Cranked briefly then refilled with fuel. Started but had to bleed. Ran rough and discovered 1st cylinder closest to dash is not firing. All other cylinders are firing good. Removed and cleaned injector for that cylinder. The JD790 has the valves mounted on the rockshaft case under the seat. THe 990 rockshaft case is a different configuration. There is a valve on the top under the seat, and another valve on the left side of the case. JD offers a kit for each valve. Like Roy said check the knob first, but by now the tractor should have atleast had a hydraulic filter change. If I remember right judging from the numbering system change, a 990 is at least a couple years old and probably should have had it changed regardless of the hours. Just my 2 cents.
