The term you are looking for is high powered MMDVM hotspot. I've built numerous. I've used the INADVM boards on the Arduino DUE, the Repeater Builder boards and also the cheap chinese STM-32 based boards. First define what you want to do. Do you want a simplex single radio high powered hot spot or are you building a full duplex repeater?
