That usually helps. Happens to me too. Sometimes have to restart Rec Room twice. If it still doesn't load, I move on to something different. Happens to me to. I just quit and re-open rec room 1-4 times, and if that doesn’t work, just move on to a different game. Yeah, it’s really annoying.
