It’s simply because Calamity wasn’t meant to be played in multiplayer. Fixing these issues would require a net code programmer and apparently, those are pretty difficult to come by these days, especially on Terraria mods which are mostly volunteer work besides the small amounts of money earned from patreon.

Calamity’s mod configuration settings allows you to artificially increase boss health. I would recommend increasing by about 75% per extra player (2 players are 175, 3 makes 250, etc.) Health does scale in multiplayer, but it is so insignificant that it really doesn't matter. I think calamity is just more tailored to single player.
