It's complicated. If you are willingly giving in to your dark desires you will be obviously breaking it. The thing is you sometimes will unconsciously be doing some dark stuff. It seems you are kind of "possesed". We don't know if the entity controlling your body is making you break your oath. Personally, I think you wouldn't be breaking it ...

I found it really easy not to break my Oath of the Ancients until I got to Dror Ragzlin's room where after landing several of the killing blows on the enemies in there without issue, one random Absolute Initiate's death counted as a broken oath. I'm guessing that's a bug. But other than that, it was fine.
