Hey everyone, Got an 03 LB7 Duramax, and just replaced the injectors. It won't start, and it's throwing P0088 and P0193. Now, I installed a Nicktane Cat filter and I can hear bubbling. It is fixed!! 03 duramax crew cab LB7.. No mods on truck and a little over 60k on the clock. After several trips to the dealer and this past week in the shop the problem is fixed. I had brought my truck to the dealer for a hard start (crank no fire) and an extended start issue. If you read the other threads (p0090) you will see what was going on.

If you have a bidirectional scan tool, you should be able to activate it through the tool. The next thing to check is signal and ground to the solenoid. Ill do that. Thxs. Use a multimeter and verify you have continuity from the connector at the sensor all the way back to the main bail connector that sits above the hardline coolant hose (the one that connects to your thermostat housing).Gauges, Electronics and Wiring. Truck will intermittently not start when temp is below 35 degrees. The only code is p0090. I clear the code and it starts up immediately.

1. when was the last time you changed the fuel filter. The filter needs to be changed every 8000-10000 miles. 2. Your FPRV (fuel pressure relief valve) may need to be shimmed, but not many LMM need this. 3. You may need to look at getting a lift pump. I would start with the fuel filter and go from there. According to the Service manual it says: Circuit Description: The ECM monitors the condition of the ignition relay control circuit. If the ECM senses excessive voltage on this curcuit DTC P0612 will set. Conditions for running DTC: Ignition is ON. Conditions to setting the DTC: The feedback voltage does not match the output state.This is also something that is not very common on these Duramax engines but it happens more often than an ECM issue. The most common problem on the Duramax is the EGR. That and head gasket issues. As far as electrical issues, this is really the only other one I know of.
