All the mods / discussion is about the helicopters that fly above you... Never heard of a helicopter flying mod.

The helicopter, without a target, is just going to fly in wide sweeping circles around your general area. Because of that, It's going to attract numerous zombies to your general area. Because it's constantly making noise and leading zombies in different directions as it circles, It's inevitably going to lure zombies …You can hide from the Helicopter event. I've done it a few times. You have to be inside the entire time the Helicopter is in the area and you cannot be seen at any point from the outside. Being in view from an open window could spell your doom. Making any noise can also alert the Helicopter to your presence.

The helicopter event lasts for a few hours so you can drag zombies to whatever location you want, or for a laugh maybe someone else's base in MP. Poarch has the right idea.
