Didn't know what the proper way was. I just file. I only clip my nails then file when they are really long and I need to shorten them significantly. I only file. I usually have longer nails but when they're short I just file. I'll clip to trim back my nails and then file when they're longer. I also used nail strengthening polish, and painted my nails with coloured polish frequently to discourage chewing. I found that covering up the stubby bitten bits with colour stopped me from focusing on their irregularity and biting more.

I completely agree. I don't understand the hype at all. Nothing is unique. Holo toppers, holo glitters & unicorn skin toppers have all been done to death by so many indie brands (and usually for a cheaper price too) and the creme releases look so thick and awful to apply.
