Brands I've used are Silvertone, Danelectro, Kay, Hofner, Fender, Squier, Epiphone, Harmony, SX, Ibanez, Krappy, Gretsch, Rogue, Eastwood and Dan Armstrong/Ampeg. I think I remembered them all. The original, pre-upgrade Highway One Model had an acrylic lacquer finish. When Fender introduced the upgrade model in 2005, they changed to nitrocellulose lacquer. As a side note, I owned both a 2005 pre-upgrade bass (sold for financial reasons) and currently own a 2006 post-upgrade bass.

Here's a few shots of my Mourdian CS-74. I've been looking for one of these for many years and here it is! It's all original except for the pickups. Jim Mouradian installed these EMG's a few years back and much prefers them to the original Bardens. I'd be interested in hearing from other owners on their pickups and Mouradian stories in general.Unscrew the outer (black) screws. Put them somewhere safe. Gently pop the backplate up, not all the way off because the electronics are still attached. Holding the internal part of the dials in place with one hand, use needle-nose pliers to tighten the nuts on the external posts. Reverse instructions 5-1.This is not that bass. As someone said in another thread, this bass has a "Quality" feel to it. The neck is straight, the ebonol fretboard feels great, and the fretwork is excellent -- no rough edges whatsoever!
